- There are many great free or low-cost courses to boost your skills and confidence.
- Digital skills are especially relevant now so find courses that will boost your digital confidence and capabilities.
- If you’re out of work, it’s a great time to upskill or even consider reskilling with short courses from training organisations like genU Training. Write a resume like a pro
- Develop a resume that is simple and clear in layout with white space, headings and bullet points.
- Tailor your resume for each role by thoroughly reading the position description and thinking about how your skills match the requirements.
- Filter key words throughout your resume to ensure it lands on the desk of the employer and not in the bin.
- Check to ensure your resume has no spelling and grammar errors.

Bouncing back from rejection in a competitive job market
- Rarely do people get the first job they apply for – it’s not uncommon for it to take time and several interviews before you nail it.

Set-backs may be due to external factors rather than your qualities and asking for feedback upon rejection can help you learn from the experience.
