Sue Osman
Group General Manager, MatchWorks
“From an early age I was exposed to a very diverse range of people experiencing homelessness and the various compounding issues associated – my parents owned a Private Hotel for 45 years, specifically pitched to support those in need. This has shaped my understanding and passion in making a difference in peoples’ lives from a very young age.
After completing an education degree, I pursued my passion, moving first into adult education and then into the newly privatised unemployment sector. I have been in the Employment Services industry for the past 30 years.
Leading the MatchWorks team inspires me daily – our staff are amazing! They face so many obstacles daily, but our teams are all motivated by the common goal: seeing our participants take a positive step forward, overcome adversity, and witnessing their smiles and pride when they achieve their goals.
Employment makes such a huge difference to lives; I continue to learn, listen, make an effort to understand and be involved in innovative approaches to inform and shape the future employment services more broadly.
My responsibility is to ensure all of our Employment Services meet the needs of our clients and employers, are innovative and continuously evolving and embedded strongly in our communities. When I’m not working, I spend my time travelling with family and working on various projects.”

Casey Hardwick
General Manager, Inclusive Employment Australia
“My very first role leaving school I applied for a Medical Receptionist position with a local Employment Service provider and was thrilled when they offered me a role working directly with them. 25 years later I continue to be passionate about the work we do and the communities we serve.
Over my career I have lived and worked in various communities across NSW, VIC and SA. I continue to be inspired by the diversity and dedication of our industry and the opportunity to work with incredible teams who play a part in assisting so many achieve their employment goals.
Over the last 6 years I have held various Senior Leadership positions, guiding national teams, piloting best practise & codesigning initiatives across various Employment Services programs including Workforce Australia and Transition to Work.
A mother of three and parent of a child with a disability, it is an honour to now be directly involved in MatchWorks commitment to the inclusion, dignity and empowerment of people with a disability. I am dedicated to supporting, empowering and enabling our teams to achieve their best for our clients each day and excited to have the opportunity to collaborate and lead initiatives that strengthen our impact and community relationships.
When I am not at work I am spending time with my children, family and friends often planning or enjoying new adventures, holidays and experiences: laughing loudly, dancing awkwardly, singing badly and making fond memories.”

Sarah Court
General Manager, Business Support and Privacy Officer
“I accidentally fell into Employment Services at the age of 16 when I was desperately looking for a change.
20 years later I am so grateful for the move, otherwise it would have taken longer to realise that my passion lies in the industry where I can make a difference day in day out.
I am a dedicated individual driving key business initiative and managing the day-to-day operations of the Business Support team.
In my current role, I am proud of leading a team full of passionate individuals implementing innovative practices while maintaining a clear client-centric approach. With a commitment to excellence, I navigate the complexities of the employment services sector, ensuring MatchWorks remains at the forefront of industry standards.”

Troy Fryar
General Manager, Workforce Australia Projects
For more than 26 years, I’ve poured my energy into creating opportunities and better outcomes for Australians doing it tough. From major cities to remote communities, I’ve worked alongside young people, refugees, migrants, people with disability, and communities facing real challenges.
I’ve been lucky to work across government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors designing and delivering practical, innovative services that don’t just look good on paper, but genuinely make a difference in people’s lives. With a background in economics (and a bit of a love for data and analysis). I’m passionate about co-designing solutions that are inclusive, creative and give real value for money.
Community isn’t just part of my work it’s part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve volunteered as President of our community kindergarten, Co-President of the local primary school PFA, and spent more weekends than I can count on the sidelines of junior sport.
Coaching junior footy for six years was a highlight especially leading the team to the 2022 Premiership Flag (though, honestly the smiles and the teamwork meant more than the scoreboard).

Annette Gill
General Manager, Community and Innovation
“Like many people, my working life commenced in part-time and casual roles while completing secondary education. I had the opportunity to get a taste of different occupations including retail, hospitality and clerical roles through paid employment. While I enjoyed aspects of all the jobs I held, it was through volunteering in a child and youth program that I discovered the incredible satisfaction that comes from being in a helping profession.
Since completing my degree in Applied Psychology I have had various social service roles. I had the opportunity to work with not for profit, private and government organisations and be part of significant initiatives including the national Burdekin Projects which were implemented in response to the landmark National Youth Commission Inquiry into Youth Homelessness. In my various roles I worked with diverse groups including homeless youth, substance users, disadvantaged families, people living with disability and survivors of sexual assault.
During my time in social services, I witnessed the transformational impact of employment as well as the tragic repercussions of social and employment exclusion. Driven to make a difference I pursued a career in employment services, and I am proud to have been part of this sector for the last 35 years.
Leading the Community and Innovation team within MatchWorks allows me the opportunity to contribute to the development of collaborative, innovative and better practices to support our participants overcome challenges and forge pathways to employment.”
