MatchWorks, funded by the Australian Government, helps individuals with injury, disability, or health conditions stay employed by assisting with job retention through Work Assist.

We collaborate with you and your employer to explore funding and support options to maintain your employment.

Assistance available could include:

  • Regular check ins.
  • Work closely with you and your employer to provide expert advice about job redesign.
  • Offer you reasonable training to help you upskill.
  • Conduct comprehensive workplace assessment to determine suitability of current duties at your workplace.
  • Help you access workplace modifications or special equipment through Job Access.
  • Provide you support in the workplace to help manage the impact of the injury, disability, or health condition.
  • Refer you to Physical and Mental Health Wellbeing Programs, if required.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You have been working for at least eight hours per week on average over 13 consecutive weeks and still employed.
  • You are assessed by a Disability Employment Services provider (such as MatchWorks) as having difficulty carrying out the essential requirements of your job.
  • You are an Australian resident or eligible Visa holder.
  • You are of working age, at least 14 years old but below Age Pension age.
  • You are not receiving assistance from another Disability Employment Services provider.
