Employability Skills Training (EST) helps you find and keep the right job in the right industry.
Get practical support to develop your workplace and job search skills:
- Explore your career options
- Improve your teamwork, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Learn about specific industries in your area that recruiting, for example, hospitality or aged care
- Meet local employers to learn about their work environment and expectations.
You can choose a general course, or you can focus on a specific industry in one of our industry-specific specialist programs.
Block 1 Group program delivered by MatchWorks
Build your workplace skills and knowledge.
This program includes:
- Understanding employer expectations
- Teamwork and problem-solving
- Communication skills
- Using technology, including online etiquette and managing your digital profile and online etiquette.
- Local industries that are recruiting
- Direct links to local jobs and work experience. This includes apprenticeships and internships.
Block 2 Delivered by MatchWorks and genU Training

This program includes:
- Establishing goals and objectives
- Effective job search techniques
- Job search tools including resumes and cover letters that hit the mark
- Valuable interview skills to present your best self
- Direct links to local jobs and work experience. This includes apprenticeships and internships.
Block Two Training is available as a generalist course, or industry-specific specialist courses

25 hours per week for 3 weeks (full-time)

- Registered as a job seeker in Workforce Australia. or a participant in Transition to Work (TtW) or Disability Employment Services (DES).
