Chloe’s award nomination for rebuilding young lives
Congratulations to MatchWorks team member, Chloe Foley for her Australia Pacific LNG Community Hero Award nomination. This award recognises everyday people doing extraordinary things within their community. Chloe has been nominated for her volunteer work at Youth Insearch.
Over the past 8 years, Chloe has volunteered more than 3000 hours to support young people facing challenges including:
- homelessness
- mental health conditions
- bullying
- violence
- and drug and alcohol abuse.
The Youth Leader’s passion for the cause comes from lived experience. Chloe is now giving back to the organisation that helped change her life.

Chloe’s volunteer work started with assisting at weekend workshops. Today, she runs these workshops, mentors new young leaders and facilitates sessions including:
- self-esteem
- communication
- goal setting
- and grief.
It’s estimated that her volunteer work has directly impacted more than 2000 young people across Victoria, News South Wales and Queensland.
This dedication to helping others continues in her work supporting clients at MatchWorks. Chloe’s collaborative and client-focused approach saw her recently advance to a new role in our Disability Employment Services team. The talented employee now places our work ready job seekers with employers. She also works closely with the post-placement support team to deliver a positive outcome for all.
