Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability

ROYAL COMMISSIONS STATEMENT

As an organisation that is committed to creating and delivering innovative services and supports that empower people to reach their full potential, genU welcomed the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.

Violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation is something that our organisation will not tolerate.

genU has great confidence in the Royal Commission processes and we believe that calling attention to and investigating unacceptable practices in our sector will only strengthen services and systems, benefitting those who use or work in disability services and aged care.

In these sectors, and as an organisation, we have nothing to hide and much to gain from these Commissions.
