Collaboration with Lola Ballarat helps local hospitality industry
Our Ballarat team was thrilled to collaborate with Lola Ballarat recently to give local job seekers the opportunity to put their 5-day hospitality training into action at a special dinner for local hospitality employers.
Owner of the Provincial Hotel & Lola Restaurant, Gorgi Coghlan said the collaboration was “an instant yes” for them because hospitality needs workers.
“We are, at the moment, in desperate need of people that want to work, that understand the passion and the hard work involved in hospitality. And we love the fact that the people that we have here learning all the skills, want to work,” Gorgi said.
The newly trained job seekers embraced the opportunity to showcase their service skills to potential employers. The room was filled with positive energy and support, and with the local hospitality industry planning for post-lockdown trade, the event opened up several conversations about job opportunities.
