MatchWorks moves to remote servicing in flood affected areas

Severe flooding across QLD and Northern NSW has forced the temporary closure of the following MatchWorks offices until further notice: Brisbane City, Browns Plains, Caboolture, Chermside, Eagleby, Goodna, Greenslopes, Ipswich, Katoomba, Mount Gravatt, Nundah, Redcliffe, Strathpine, Springwood and Windsor.

Local teams have now moved to phone and online servicing in impacted regions and mutual obligations are on hold for job seekers in affected areas until Thursday 17 March 2022 (inclusive). We will continue to keep you up-to-date with changes as they occur.

Financial support

Residents within communities impacted by the flooding disaster may be entitled to apply for Commonwealth financial support. The Disaster Recovery Payment is a one-off, non-means tested lump sum payment of:

  • $1,000 for eligible adults
  • $400 for each eligible child under the age of 16.

You can claim this payment if you’ve suffered a significant loss, including a severely damaged or destroyed home or serious injury.
