Following the snap five lockdown announced by the Victorian Government on Thursday 15 July, all Victorian sites will move to remote servicing from Friday 16 July.

This means our services will still be available over the phone or online for job seekers and employers as needed. Our Health and Wellbeing team are also available to assist you through this difficult time.

Mutual obligations on hold for VIC job seekers

Mutual obligation requirements were put on hold for job seekers and participants in Victoria from Friday 16 July.

These arrangements will remain in place until Thursday 22 July 2021 inclusive. They apply to job seekers in jobactive, Online Employment Services, Disability Employment Services and participants in ParentsNext who live or are serviced in Victoria. 


With lockdown extended in parts of NSW, our employment services for job seekers and employers will continue to be offered remotely over the phone and online until Friday 30 July inclusive.

We encourage job seekers in NSW to reach out to their local employment team for assistance as needed. Our Health and Wellbeing team are also available for tailored support during this challenging time.

MatchWorks will continue to review the health advice and update our website as required.

Mutual obligations remain on hold for NSW job seekers

The temporary suspension of mutual obligations has been extended for job seekers and participants who live or are serviced in the NSW areas of:

  • Bayside
  • Blue Mountains
  • Canada Bay
  • Central Coast
  • City of Sydney
  • Greater Sydney
  • Inner West
  • Randwick
  • Shellharbour
  • Waverley
  • Wollongong
  • Woollahra

The suspension will remain in place until Tuesday 3 August 2021 inclusive.
