Important message for job seekers
The latest update from the Australian Government’s Department of Health recommends people who have been in contact with confirmed Novel Coronavirus cases and returned travellers who have been in Hubei Province of China must be isolated in their homes for 14 days from the time of last contact with the confirmed case, or from the departure date from mainland China.
If you’re a job seeker who is unable meet your requirements due to this quarantine, please contact the Department of Human Services (DHS) to advise them you are quarantined.
DHS can support you by granting a Major Personal Crisis exemption for a period of 14 days. If you are unwell beyond this period, medical evidence will be required to receive ongoing exemptions.
