Important information for NSW job seekers.

Following the restrictions changes announced on Saturday 26 June, some of the ways you usually access our services have changed. 

Access to our services

NSW job seekers can leave home to access Employment Services so our full-time sites remain open for any clients who request a face-to-face appointment or support. Please remember to wear a face-mask.

All other appointments, including Health and Wellbeing services and training sessions, will be delivered remotely over the phone or online. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact your local site.  

Please be assured that all sites are adhering to COVID safe practices to keep you, and our team members, safe and well.

Mutual Obligations

Mutual obligation requirements are currently on hold for job seekers in the regions of:

  • Greater Sydney
  • Blue Mountains
  • Central Coast
  • Wollongong.

The temporary suspension of mutual obligations will be in place from Sunday 27 June 2021 until Tuesday 13 July 2021 inclusive. They apply to job seekers in jobactive, Online Employment Services, Disability Employment Services and participants in ParentsNext who live or are serviced in these areas. 

This means job seekers and participants in these areas will not face payment suspensions or financial penalties for failing to meet their mutual obligation requirements that are due, or arranged to occur, during the suspension period.

COVID-19 Disaster Payment

If you’re affected by COVID-19 and experiencing financial difficulty, the COVID-19 Disaster Payment will be available on 1 July 2021 for eligible people.
