Environment is front of mind at Karingal

Karingal has developed a list of eight environmental objectives in a bid to increase the sustainability of the organisation.

The objectives have been formed keeping in mind that preserving the environment is the responsibility of individuals as well as businesses.

Being mindful of day-to-day activities can reduce environmental impact and it is hoped that strategies will help support this.

The objectives centre around energy use and focus on monitoring the organisation's electricity usage and finding ways to reduce it where possible.

Karingal also aims to reduce waste and wherever possible, recycle anything that can be reused.

Water conservation is also a top priority for the organisation, as well as making all Karingal buildings environmentally sustainable and resource efficient. This is especially important when considering the construction or purchase of new buildings.

The Karingal Sustainability Strategy also encourages education, with a commitment to ensuring employees are well informed about current and developing sustainable methods so they can help the organisation reduce impacts on the environment.
