As a result MatchWorks job seeker Brooke, who has permanent partial hearing loss, was employed in February as a kitchen hand/dessert maker.

Co-owner Lisa Crawford said the relationship with MatchWorks has been beneficial for their business by providing wage subsidies, which has assisted them with training costs.

“We have been in constant contact with our MatchWorks representative. Any questions we need answered is a phone call away or they come in regularly to see how everything is progressing, which is great,” Lisa said.

“Brooke has fitted in well within our business and has gained confidence with all tasks set out for her. We have been super pleased with everything Brooke has done and the interest she has displayed in her food preparation.

“We would definitely use MatchWorks again as they were able to provide us with the right job seeker to fit our needs and also placed Brooke in an environment to fulfil her career goal.”
