Karingal Karnivalè
30 March 2010
The second annual Karingal Karnivalè drew a crowd of over 2000 people to the head office grounds on the Barwon River on Sunday.
The highly successful family day saw children of all ages flooding the KidsZone for the face painting, free petting zoo, show rides and jumping castles as well as the hugely popular plate-smashing event.
Close by, adults relaxed and enjoyed the talents of Tim McCallum, Elvis and Trojan until the girls of Shimmy Shake got the kids up and moving with their interactive song and dance.
Also contributing to the success of the day was the variety of market stalls, with local, high quality fruit and vegetable produce, arts and crafts, clothing, photo services, caricatures and a variety of food.
The fantastic KarnivART ’10 exhibition also drew a crowd, with 17 of the 50 pieces sold to members of the public, including the KarinvART winning piece, Masquerade, by Sian Morgan.
